Guildhall Aria Prize
Daniel was awarded joint First prize in the Guildhall Aria Prize this week after successfully getting through to the final.
This autumn the School introduced a brand new vocal competition, open to senior vocal students on the School's undergraduate and postgraduate vocal studies programmes. Candidates will perform two opera arias with piano accompaniment in front of a panel of judges.
PANEL:
Della Jones
Linnhe Robertson (Head of Vocal Studies)
Each finalist has prepared four arias in at least three languages. Each finalist will sing an aria of his/her choice and the panel will then pick one further aria to be performed. The finalists do not know in advance which aria the panel will choose.
